Managing IBM Database Projects

The IBM® Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio include an IBM Database Project type for Visual Studio. The IBM database project is designed specifically for working with files that can be run on IBM data servers. You can manage the IBM database project in the Visual Studio environment with other projects in the Solution Explorer.

With an IBM database project, you can:


Note: DB2 projects that you created in the IBM Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio 2005 - Fix Pack 2 and earlier releases have the full range of functionality that is available for IBM database projects. The extensions of the script files in an IBM database project have an "ibmdb" prefix (for example, .ibmdbtbl and .ibmdbsp). However, the extensions of the script files in your DB2 project retain their "db2" prefix (for example, .db2tbl and .db2sp).
