Configuring Web Server Connections  (DB2)

Before you can deploy IBM® data Web services to a local Web server, you must configure at least one Web server connection. Use the Advanced Options window to configure Web server connections.

Prerequisite: The IBM Data Web Service Designer must be open. If you have not configured a Web server connection prior to opening the designer for the first time, the Advanced Options window opens automatically so that you can do so.

To configure a Web server connection:

  1. If the Advanced Options window is not open, in the Web Service view of the IBM Data Web Service Designer, click Advanced Options.
  2. Select one of the supported types of Web server.
  3. Select the Web server. If the Web server that you want to use is not listed, click New to open the New Server window, where you can identify the local Web server.
  4. Optional: Add one or more parameters to the Web server configuration, and specify a value for each of the new parameters.
  5. Optional: Delete one or more parameters from the Web server configuration. The - button is not available if you select a required parameter.
  6. Optional: To use this configured Web server connection as the default for deploying the Web services that you create, select the Set as default check box.
  7. Optional: To run the Web services that you create after you deploy them, select the Open the Invoke Web Service Method dialog box after deployment check box.
  8. Click OK.
