Select Source for XML Pattern  (DB2)

Use the Select Source for XML Pattern window to select the XML source for the XML pattern that you are building.

To open the Select Source for XML Pattern window:


Column name
Shows the name of the XML column for which you are building an XML pattern. This is the XML column that you selected for the Column property in the XML Indexes view of the IBM Table Designer.
XML Source
Select the option button that indicates the XML schema or XML document that you want to use as the source for the XML pattern.
Use registered XML schema
Select this option to use an XML schema that is registered in the XML Schema Repository. If you select this option, you must also select a DB2® database schema and an XML schema.
Owner
Select the name of the DB2 database schema in which the XML schema is stored.
XML schema name
Select the name of the XML schema in the XML Schema Repository to use as the source.
Use document stored in column
Select this option to use an XML document that is stored in the XML column in the DB2 table.

To use this option, the column for which you are defining the XML index must be populated with at least one row that contains an XML document.

Use document from file
Select this option to use an XML file of type .xml or .xsd as the source. Click Ellipsis button to browse the file system and select the XML file.
