The IBM® Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio simplify the process of creating, modifying, and deploying IBM data Web services.
To open the IBM Data Web Service Designer:
- If you want to create a Web service, in the Server Explorer under your data connection, right-click Web Services, and then select Create and Deploy IBM Data Web Service on the shortcut menu.
- If you want to create a Web service from a database object, right-click a database table, view, procedure, or function, and then select Create and Deploy as IBM Data Web Service on the shortcut menu.
- If you want to modify an existing Web service, in the Server Explorer under your data connection, right-click the Web service that you want to change, and then select Open Definition on the shortcut menu.

Use the buttons on the IBM Data Web Service Designer toolbar to move from view to view in the designer.
- Moves to the
Web Service view
- Runs the saved Web service
so that you can test it
- Moves to the
Show Script view
