- Default [range]
- NULL [YOUR_STRING_VALUE]
By default, no management class is specified by a Db2® database.
When running a backup operation to IBM Storage Protect, IBM Storage Protect first attempts to bind the backup object to the management class specified in the INCLUDE-EXCLUDE list found in the IBM Storage Protect client options file, and if no match is found then the default IBM Storage Protect management class specified on the IBM Storage Protect server is used. IBM Storage Protect then rebinds the backup object to the management class specified by the database configuration parameter tsm_mgmtclass.
The default management class, as well as the management class specified by the database configuration parameter, must contain a backup copy group, or the backup operation might fail.
