If a table or view in your IBM database is defined with one or more columns of data type BLOB, you can use the IBM^® Data Designer to delete BLOB data from rows of the table or view.

Requirement:  The IBM database table or view must be defined with one or more columns of data type BLOB.

To delete BLOB data from a IBM table or view:

1. Retrieve the data from the table or view.
2. In the Result Data section of the designer, click the cell of the grid in which you want to delete the BLOB data, and then click .

   The BLOB Visualizer window opens.

3. Select the Clear data check box, and then click OK.

   The result data cell that contained the BLOB data is now cleared.

4. In the Data view of the designer, save the data.
