In the Web Service view of the IBM® Data Web Service Designer, you define the IBM data Web service and provide information regarding the Web service operations.
- Web Service Information
- In this section, you specify the information that identifies
the Web service.
- Name
- Type a name for the Web service. The name cannot exceed 128 characters.
- Namespace URI
- Optionally, change the default namespace URI. For example, you might want to use a namespace URI to group together Web services that have similar functions, have one owner, or access the same data source.
- Advanced Options
- Optionally click to open the Advanced
Options window, where you can specify information
to configure local Web servers.
You can also select a Web server to deploy the specific Web service to.
- Operations
- In this section, you specify the operation or operations
that you want to define as part of the Web service.
- Name
- Type the name of the operation.
- Operation
- Type the SQL or SQLXML text of the operation.
Alternatively, click
to open the
Edit Operation
window, where you can specify the operation text in an
environment that provides syntax highlighting and
IntelliSense.
