You define the association between elements and attributes in an XML schema and columns in DB2® relational database tables by creating map links in the IBM XML Schema Mapping Designer. Each map link can have only one XML source node (element or attribute) and one target column. However, you can create multiple map links from the same XML source node to different target columns.
You can add map links by dragging from the XML source node to the target column or by using a command on the shortcut menu in the Mapping Editor section of the designer.
Requirement: An instance of the IBM XML Schema Mapping Designer must be open, with an XML schema displayed in the Source XML schema pane, and one or more tables displayed in the right pane.
To add a map link:
A blue line is drawn between the XML source node and the target column.
