Supported data types

The data types in the text columns that you want to index and search can be either binary or character.

Db2 Text Search supports the following data types:
  • CHAR
  • VARCHAR
  • LONG VARCHAR
  • CLOB
  • DBCLOB
  • BLOB
  • GRAPHIC
  • VARGRAPHIC
  • LONG VARGRAPHIC
  • XML
