| Enhancement | Description |
|---|---|
| Advanced Log Space Management (ALSM) support for databases configured with the High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) feature. | Databases configured with the High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) feature can now gain the benefit of ALSM on both the primary and (single or multiple) standby. For details, see Advanced Log Space Management. |
| If using Advanced Log Space Management (ALSM), during a traditional online backup, extraction log files will now be included in the backup image by default with the INCLUDE LOGS parameter. | For databases configured to use ALSM, extraction log files are generated containing log data of long running transactions. During a traditional online backup, these extraction log files are now included in the backup image by default with the INCLUDE LOGS parameter in conjunction with the required active log files. At database restore time, any extraction log files found in the backup image will be automatically restored and used for the ensuing rollforward. For details, see Advanced Log Space Management |
