Data movement enhancements
The Db2 version 11.5 Mod Pack 4 release provides enhancements to data movement utilities, such as IMPORT, EXPORT, LOAD, and INGEST.
Attention: The enhancements in this topic are included in the
Db2 11.5.4 mod pack release, which is available for the following products:
- Db2 on-premises
- The single container deployments of Db2 Warehouse and IBM Integrated Analytics System (IIAS)
- The container micro-service deployment of Db2 on Red Hat OpenShift

Improved efficiency in removal of temporary storage data | When performing a LOAD operation from a CURSOR file type, where the cursor was defined using the DATABASE keyword option (also known as the REMOTEFETCH load operation), LOB data which is fetched from the cursor is more efficiently and expediently purged from temporary storage, thereby preventing unnecessary temporary tablespace full conditions. |
