While you are annotating an XML schema in the IBM XML Schema Mapping Designer, you can review the XML source that is being generated for the map links that you define and for the property values that you specify. You can view the XML source in text format in the Visual Studio text editor or in graphic format in the Visual Studio XML Designer.

Requirement:  An annotated XML schema must be open in the IBM XML Schema Mapping Designer, with one or more map links defined.

To review the XML source of an annotated XML schema:

1. Right-click in the Mapping Editor section of the Annotated XML Schema view of the designer, select View Source on the shortcut menu, and then select Using Text Editor or Using XML Designer.

   The XML source in the annotated XML schema is displayed in text format in the Visual Studio text editor or in graphic format in the Visual Studio XML Designer.

2. Close the text editor or XML Designer.
