With this dialog,
you can specify whether you want to work
with a database or with a physical model.
You can set the data source
by clicking on the menu bar of the Design Studio. You can also
click Set Data Source in the Data Source page
of the Input Model properties view.
- Selection
of Data Source Type
- The data source of the input model must
be a database connection
or a physical data model. On this page of the dialog, you can select
which one you want to use.
- Select Connection
- If you specified to work with a database, you can select a database
connection on this page of the dialog.
If you want to specify aggregation
splits, value mappings, or discretizations, the required values can
be read from the database. Therefore it is recommended to connect
to a database if you want to specify one of these parameters.
- Physical Data Model Selection
- If you
specified to work with a physical data model, you can select
the physical data model on this page of the dialog.
