If you want to
exchange mining models between Db2® databases
or vendor applications, you can
export a mining model from a mining database to a client computer.
For example, you
might want to:
- Exchange models
between Db2 databases,
such as moving a model from the data warehouse to operational data
store for real-time scoring
- Exchange models with vendor applications,
such as mining workbenches
from SAS or SPSS®
- Archive
a mining model outside the database, such as in a source
code control system
Prerequisite
- Start the data warehousing in Db2 Administration
Console.
- Expand the Mining container in the navigation tree.
Procedure
To
export a mining model:
- Select Manage
Mining Models from
the navigation tree.
- Select a database from
the Data Source JNDI
Name list. If the database you want to enable
is not available in the list, click Create New Data Source and
refer to Connecting to resources container in the data warehousing in Db2 Information
Center for further information.
- Select a mining
model from the list and click Export.
- When the next page is displayed, click Export.
- From the browser, save or view the exported XML.
If you
save the file, remember the directory and file name that you enter
so that you can find the file later.
