Use these guidelines to tune query runtime performance.

Gathering statistics about Datalake tables
You can use the ANALYZE TABLE statement to gather statistics for Datalake tables. These statistics are used by the Db2® optimizer to determine the most optimal access plans to efficiently process your queries. The more statistics that you collect on your tables, the better decisions the optimizer can make to provide the best possible access plans. When you run the ANALYZE TABLE statement on a table to collect these statistics, the query generally runs faster.
Informational constraints for Datalake tables
Constraints are associated with tables and are defined as part of the table creation process (by using the CREATE Datalake TABLE statement) or are added to a table definition after the table has been created (by using the ALTER Datalake TABLE statement).
Data partitioning
When you create Datalake tables, you can optionally partition your table data. Datalake tables can be partitioned by one or more columns. You can also partition using expressions.
