Policy and data migration for auditing activities.

If you have configured the audit facility to archive records to the Db2 tables, you will need to consider policy and data migration.

Review your policies and ensure that these cover exactly what you need to prevent excessive audit record generation.

We recommend defining a data migration plan for your audit records stored in the database tables. If you need the records loaded into the audit tables, you will need to extract the data from the tables and upload those to the Cloud Object Storage (COS) bucket intended for future audit records.

To extract the data from the audit tables, see https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/db2/11.5?topic=commands-export. To upload the extracted data to your Cloud object storage bucket, we recommend to use the COS service’s API. The data migration process may take a long time depending on the size of your data. Contact IBM Support if further guidance is needed.
