Before you start

Perform these steps before you start auditing events in Db2 Warehouse on Cloud.

1. Cloud Object Storage credentials

• IBM Cloud Object Storage

  For example,

  cos_hmac_keys:

• AWS Simple Storage Service (S3)

2. Cloud Object Storage bucket name
   
   
   
   You must create a bucket that will store the audit records. You will need to save the bucket name during initial configuration. We recommend that you do not use this bucket for other purposes. Consider securely configuring the bucket with appropriate encryption, access management, and data retention. Additionally, for cost control, you should set a quota to the relevant bucket and set an expiration rule .
