MONITOR TRACE field (MON subsystem parameter)
The MON subsystem parameter specifies whether the monitor trace is to start automatically when Db2 is started. The trace can be started for all classes, a default class, or a specified list of classes.

The MONITOR TRACE field is scrollable. To scroll the field, position your cursor in the field and use the for LEFT or RIGHT scroll commands. To see the entire contents of the field at one time, type EXPAND in the command field, position your cursor in the scrollable field, and press Enter.

- Starts the trace for the monitor class 1 whenever Db2 is started.
- list-of-classes
- Start the trace automatically for the specified classes. Enter a list of class numbers in the range 1–32, separated by commas. For a list of monitor classes that are defined by Db2, see Monitor trace.
- asterisk (*)
- Starts the trace automatically for all classes.
