INSTALL PKG OWNER field

The INSTALL PKG OWNER field specifies the authorization ID to assign as the owner of packages and plans that are bound by most installation and sample jobs.

When the INSTALL PKG OWNER field is specified, it also sets the default owner of packages that are bound by the DSNTIJRT and DSNTIJRV jobs. When it is not specified, the default package owner is the authorization ID that is specified in the ROUTINES CREATOR field. You can specify the package ownership for individual routines on installation panels DSNTIPRA through DSNTIPRP.

Acceptable values: 1–8 characters. The first character must be alphabetic.
Default: blank
Update: option 6 on panel DSNTIPB
DSNZPxxx: none

The installation CLIST assigns the value of the INSTALL PKG OWNER field, which is the value of the OWNER parameter in BIND statements that are processed by installation jobs. If a value for this field is not specified, the OWNER clause is omitted from those BIND statements, except for those processed by jobs DSNTIJRT and DSNTIJRV. The INSTALL PKG OWNER field is required when the ROUTINES CREATOR, SEC DEF CREATOR, and INSTALL SQL ID fields are set to SYSINSTL.

If you use installation SYSOPR authority for Db2 installation, specify an installation system administrator ID in the INSTALL PKG OWNER field.

If you use installation SYSOPR authority for migration, specify an authorization ID with at least DBADM WITHOUT ACCESSCTRL authority in the INSTALL PKG OWNER field.

When you specify a value in the INSTALL PKG OWNER field, you must also set the ROUTINES CREATOR, SEC DEF CREATOR, and INSTALL SQL ID fields to SYSINSTL.
