COMPRESS SMF RECS field (SMFCOMP subsystem parameter)
The SMFCOMP subsystem parameter specifies whether Db2 is to compress trace records that are to be written to SMF.

- SMF trace records are not compressed.
- ON
- Trace records that are to be written to SMF are compressed. The z/OS compression service CSRCESRV compresses everything after the SMF header (SM100END, SM101END, or SM102END). See SM100, SM101, and SM102 for compression flags and the uncompressed size of compressed data.
