COMMAND SCOPE field
The value of the COMMAND SCOPE field controls whether the scope of the command prefix is to be one z/OS system or the entire Sysplex.
Acceptable values: | SYSTEM, SYSPLEX, STARTED |
---|---|
Default: | STARTED |
Update: | see DSNTIPM: MVS PARMLIB updates panel |
DSNZPxxx: | none |
- SYSTEM
- Sets the scope of commands to one z/OS® system. The command prefix is registered at z/OS IPL.
- SYSPLEX
- Sets the scope of commands to the entire sysplex. The command prefix is registered at z/OS IPL.
- STARTED
- Sets the scope of commands to the entire sysplex. The command
prefix is registered at Db2 startup and
unregistered when Db2 stops.
Although STARTED specifies a sysplex scope, you can also use it for a Db2 subsystem in a non-data-sharing environment. Use STARTED if you intend to use the z/OS automatic restart manager, or if you might move this Db2 into a data sharing group.
