NUMBER OF COPIES field for archive logs (TWOARCH subsystem parameter)
The TWOARCH subsystem parameter specifies whether Db2 produces two archive log copies during offloading.

If you run the Db2 installation CLIST, the setting of the NUMBER OF COPIES field for archive logs determines the setting of the TWOARCH subsystem parameter.
Valid values of the TWOARCH subsystem parameter are YES and NO.
- 2 (YES)
- Db2 produces two copies of the archive log during offloading. Dual logging increases reliability of recovery. This setting corresponds with a value of YES for the TWOARCH subsystem parameter.
- 1 (NO)
- Db2 produces a single copy of the archive log during offloading. This setting corresponds with a value of NO for the TWOARCH subsystem parameter.
