INSTALL DS PREFIX field
The INSTALL DS PREFIX field specifies the prefix for most data sets that are created by most Db2 installation and IVP jobs. This field does not apply to data sets that are created by job DSNTIJIN.

The installation CLIST assigns the value of this field as the prefix for most data sets that are created by Db2 installation and IVP jobs. However, the following exceptions apply:
- Image copy data sets use the prefix that is specified by the INSTALL IC PREFIX field.
- Db2 sample application libraries (prefix.DBRMLIB.DATA, prefix.RUNLIB.LOAD, and prefix.SRCLIB.DATA) use the prefix that is specified by the DATA SET NAME PREFIX field on panel DSNTIPA1.
- Db2 catalog and directory data sets and the Db2 administrative task scheduler file use the prefix that is specified by the CATALOG ALIAS field on panel DSNTIPA2.
- BSDS and active log copy data sets use the fields on panel DSNTIPH to specify the full name.
