Hardware and software requirements for Db2 13 for z/OS

Before you can install or migrate Db2 13, you must fulfill the hardware and software requirements.

Before installing or migrating to Db2 13 for z/OS, ensure that your system meets the following requirements:

Hardware: IBM System zEC12 or later
Operating system: z/OS 2.4 or later
Other software:

Note:
  1. You can use the following command to determine the IRLM function level: MODIFY irlmproc,STATUS,ALLI
  2. The SYSFUN.SYSTS_ENCRYPT user defined function is incompatible with IBM Semeru Runtime for z/OS, version 11 or later, pending approval and availability of the FIPS 140-3 cryptographic module in these versions.
  3. For compatibility with IBM Semeru Runtime for z/OS, version 17 or later, the XSLTRANSFORM scalar function requires a toleration APAR, either PH56646 (for Db2 13) or PH63240 (for Db2 12).
  4. For compatibility with IBM Semeru Runtime for z/OS, version 17 or later, the XSR_COMPLETE stored procedure requires a toleration APAR, PH58678 and z/OS 3.1 with APAR OA65253, or later.
