The DEFLANG DECP value identifies the default programming language that is to be used for your site.

- ASM
- Specifies High Level Assembler/MVS as the default programming language.
- C
- Specifies C as the default programming language. If you specify C, you can fold SQL identifiers to uppercase. However, this is not a default from any installation panel.
- CPP
- Specifies C++ as the default programming language. If you specify CPP, you can fold SQL identifiers to uppercase. However, this is not a default from any installation panel.
- FORTRAN
- Specifies Fortran as the default programming language.
- IBMCOB
- Specifies Enterprise COBOL for z/OS® as the default programming language.
- PLI
- Specifies PL/I as the default programming language.
