Job card information fields

Specify the job name in one of two ways:

• If the job name is member, the job name for each job is the same as its member name.
• If the job name is any value other than member, the name is truncated to seven characters, and one character is added to the end of the name to identify the run order for that job.

An example of job card information follows:

If you use the installation SYSOPR authority for Db2 installation or migration, you must set the USER parameter in the job card for installation jobs to a primary or secondary authorization ID with the installation SYSOPR authority.
