Other security measures

Even if Db2 authority requirements are satisfied, other security measures can be in effect when distributed data is accessed.

The fact that Db2 authority requirements are satisfied does not guarantee that a user has access to a given server. Other security measures can also come into play. For example, requests to execute remote SQL statements could be denied based on Resource Access Control Facility (RACF®) considerations. Developing such security measures is discussed in Getting started with Db2 security and Managing security with the RACF access control module.
