Enabling AI query by using SQL DI shell CLI

You can use the SQL DI shell CLI to connect to Db2, create AI objects, and enable the objects for AI query.

Creating and encrypting a credentials file with SQL DI shell CLI
To use the SQL Data Insights (SQL DI) shell CLI to enable AI query, you must first create one or two credentials files. A credentials file contains your user ID and password. With the credentials files, you no longer have to enter your SQL DI or Db2 user ID and password manually and repeatedly whenever you access SQL DI or connect to Db2 through the CLI.
Creating an authentication token file with SQL DI shell CLI
As an alternative to using encrypted password files, you can choose to generate an authentication token file to access SQL DI through the USS shell CLI. Together with the ability to use RACF PassTickets to access Db2, you have an alternative to using encrypted password files.
Creating the input file for a SQL DI shell command
When you use a SQL Data Insights (SQL DI) shell command to configure the application in silent mode, administer its server settings, or manage its connections and object models, you must create and specify a command input file. The input file contains the properties and values that you set or accept for the action that the command invokes. You can create a command input file by customizing a template that SQL DI provides.
Creating and managing SQL DI connections, objects, and models with the shell CLI
After successful installation and configuration, connect your SQL Data Insights (SQL DI) application to your Db2 system or data sharing group, create AI objects, enable the objects for AI query, and if needed, retrain and deploy object models. You can create and manage the connections, objects, and object models by using the SQL DI shell CLI.
Using authentication tokens and RACF PassTickets instead of credentials files with SQL DI shell CLI
If you are currently using shell scripts with encrypted password files for automation, switching to authentication tokens and RACF PassTickets requires some modifications.
