DSNTIPAP: Provision DB2 - provisioning preferences and data set names
The fields on panel DSNTIPAP specify preferences for the provisioning of Db2 , and the names of Db2 libraries that are used for provisioning Db2 subsystems only (not in installation or migration of Db2 13).
Panel DSNTIPAP is only displayed if INSTALL TYPE ===> PROVISION is specified on
panel DSNTIPA1 or DSNTILA1. It is displayed immediately after panel DSNTILA1 and before panel
DSNTIPA2.

- DB2 COMMAND PREFIX FIRST CHARACTER
- Specifies the first character of the generated command prefix for the provisioned Db2 subsystem. Must not be blank.
Acceptable values: One non-alphanumeric character; it must be a character, from the table in COMMAND PREFIX field, except for the ampersand ( &).1Default: - Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF AGSSIDPX Note:- The CLIST does not support use of the ampersand (
&). However, to use&for a provisioned Db2 subsystem, you can edit dsntivin directly in zFS.
- The CLIST does not support use of the ampersand (
- DATA SET OR LIBRARY QUALIFIER
- Specifies the intermediate qualifier for the data set or library for customized copies of Db2 target library members during provisioning.
It is NEW in the generated library name prefix.NEW.ssin.SDSNCLST for the CLIST LIBRARY field on panel DSNTIPT, where:
- prefix is the INSTALL DS PREFIX from panel DSNTIPG1 (INSTALLATION PREFERENCES PANEL 2)
- ssin is the provisioning software service instance name
Must not be blank.
Acceptable values: Valid data set name qualifier. Default: NEW Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF AGNEWIDS - ENGLISH TASK AND PANELS LIBRARY
- Specifies the English task and help panels library. Must not be blank.
Acceptable values: Valid data set name. Default: prefix.SDSNPFPE.suffix Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF DSNPFPE - ISPF MESSAGE LIBRARY
- Specifies the Db2 ISPF message library which contains messages that are issued during installation or migrate processing. Must not be blank.
Acceptable values: Valid data set name. Default: prefix.SDSNSPFM.suffix Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF DSNSPFM - ISPF INSTALL TASK AND PANELS LIBRARY
- Specifies the Db2 ISPF library for installation task and help routing panels. Must not be blank.
Acceptable values: Valid data set name. Default: prefix.SDSNSPFP.suffix Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF DSNSPFP - ISPF SKELETON LIBRARY
- Specifies the Db2 ISPF skeleton library that is used to produce EDITJCL. Must not be blank.
Acceptable values: Valid data set name. Default: prefix.SDSNSPFS.suffix Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF DSNSPFS - ISPF CMD TABLE LIBR
- Specifies the Db2 ISPF command table library. Must not be blank.
Acceptable values: Valid data set name. Default: prefix.SDSNSPFT.suffix Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF DSNSPFT - SOFTWARE SERVICE INSTANCE NAME PREFIX field
- Specifies the first two characters of the software service instance name. This field is required (must not be blank) and modifiable when provisioning a non-data-sharing Db2 system. Otherwise, this field is protected.
Acceptable values: 2 alphabetic characters (A-Z), the first character must not be 'I'. Default: DY Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF variable: none - SUBSYSTEM NAME PREFIX field
- Specifies the first character of the software service instance name. This field is always set to D and is always protected.
Acceptable values: D Default: D Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF variable: none - CLUSTER INSTANCE NAME PREFIX field
- Specifies the first character of the cluster instance name. This field is required (must not be blank) and modifiable when provisioning a data sharing group.
Otherwise, this field is protected.
Acceptable values: 1 alphabetic character (A-Z) Default: Z Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF variable: none - OUTPUT MEMBER NAME 2
- Specifies the member name of the output data set in which to save the parameter values to be used by z/OSMF for provisioning the additional data sharing members.
This field is protected when provisioning a non-data sharing Db2 system. It is modifiable only when provisioning a data sharing group.
When you run the installation CLIST to provision a data sharing group, it generates the artifacts to provision the originating member and all additional members.
The parameter settings for provisioning the originating data sharing group member are saved in the data set output member specified in the OUTPUT MEMBER NAME on panel DSNTILA1/DSNTIPA1.
The parameter settings for provisioning the additional members of the data sharing group are saved in the data set output member specified here.
You can compare these two data set output members to quickly review the configuration differences between provisioning of the originating member and provisioning of additional members.
To save the settings for provisioning the additional members of the data sharing group, you must specify an output member name in the OUTPUT MEMBER NAME 2 field. Specify DSNTIDxx as the value of OUTPUT MEMBER NAME 2, where xx is any alphanumeric value except SA, VB, XA, XB or XC.
If you specify the same name here as in the OUTPUT MEMBER NAME of panel DSNTILA1/DSNTIPA1, the settings for provisioning the originating member of the data sharing group will be replaced by the settings for provisioning the additional members.
Acceptable values: 1 - 8 characters. Default: NULL Update: none DSNZPxxx: none z/OSMF none
