DSNTIPM: MVS PARMLIB updates panel

The entries on the DSNTIPM panel produce the DSNTIJMV job, which defines Db2 to z/OS and updates several PARMLIB members.

DSNTIJMV updates the following PARMLIB members:
  • IEFSSNxx, to define Db2 and IRLM as formal z/OS subsystems
  • IEAAPFxx, to authorize the prefix.SDSNLOAD, prefix.SDSNLINK, and prefix.SDSNEXIT libraries
  • LNKLSTxx, to include the prefix.SDSNLINK library.

Updating the parameters

Different sites have different requirements for identifying Db2 to z/OS; as a result, the updates that DSNTIJMV makes to z/OSPARMLIB members might be incomplete. To ensure that the updates are complete, it is recommended that you edit the z/OS® PARMLIB members directly when you install or migrate Db2. This is substantially easier than editing DSNTIJMV.
