WRITE TO OPER field (ARCWTOR subsystem parameter)
The ARCWTOR subsystem parameter controls whether Db2 is to send a message to the operator and wait for an answer before attempting to mount an archive log data set.

Other Db2 users can be forced to wait while the mount is pending. They are not affected while Db2 is waiting for a response to the message.

- Specifies that the system is to send a message to the operator before attempting to mount an archive log data set. Specify this value if you use a device for storing archive log data sets, such as tape, that requires long delays for mounts.
- NO
- Specifies that the system will not send a message to the operator and wait for an answer before attempting to mount an archive log data set. Use this value if you use a device that does not have long delays for mounts.
The DEVICE TYPE 1 field specifies the device type or unit name.
