REMOTE LOCATION field
The REMOTE LOCATION field specifies the location of another Db2 subsystem. The remote subsystem is used by the COBOL preparation sample job DSNTEJ3C, the DDF remote location update sample job DSNTEJ6, and the stored procedures sample jobs. The stored procedures sample jobs that require a remote location name are DSNTEJ6D, DSNTEJ6P, DSNTEJ6S, DSNTEJ6T, DSNTEJ61, and DSNTEJ62.

The location name must begin with a letter and must not contain special characters. A remote location name is accepted only if you have also entered a Db2 location name for the Db2 LOCATION NAME field on installation panel DSNTIPR.
