DATA SHARING field (DSHARE subsystem parameter)
The DSHARE subsystem parameter controls whether the data sharing function is to be used.

Choose NO if you are not using data sharing. If you choose YES, you will continue to panel DSNTIPK after completing panel DSNTIPA2.
DSNTIP0A - DATA SHARING FUNCTION:
If you specify YES in the DATA SHARING field for installation, window DSNTIP0A is displayed:
Specify the data sharing function. A value is required.
- 1. Group
- Specify this value to install a new data sharing group. For more information, see Installing a new data sharing group.
- 2. Member
- Specify this value to add a new data sharing member. For more information, see Running the CLIST for adding a new member.
- 3. Enable
- Specify this value to enable an existing Db2 subsystem to become the originating member of a data sharing group. For more information, see Running the CLIST for enabling data sharing.

After entering a value, you proceed to panels DSNTIPA2 and DSNTIPK.
DSNTIP0B - FIRST MEMBER OF GROUP TO MIGRATE?
If you specify YES in the DATA SHARING field for migration, window DSNTIP0B is displayed to ask if the current member is the first to migrate.
Specify whether you are preparing to migration the first data sharing member or the subsquent members. A value is required.
- 1. Yes
- Specify this option to migrate the first member of a data sharing group. For more information, see Migrating the first member of a group to Db2 12.
- 2. No
- Specify this option to migrate subsequent members of a data sharing group. For more information, see Generating tailored migration jobs for data sharing members.
