The DB2I primary option menu

The DB2I Primary Option Menu ISPF panel is the starting point for all DB2I tasks.

The following figure shows an example of the ISPF panel for the DB2I Primary Option Menu. From this panel, you can access all of the DB2I panels without passing through panels that you do not need.

The following descriptions explain the functions on the DB2I Primary Option Menu panel.
1 SPUFI
Lets you develop and execute one or more SQL statements interactively. For more information, see Executing SQL by using SPUFI.
2 DCLGEN
Lets you generate C, COBOL, or PL/I data declarations of tables. For more information, see DCLGEN (declarations generator).
3 PROGRAM PREPARATION
Start of changeLets you prepare an application program, or prepare and run the application program. For more information, see Db2 Program Preparation panel. End of change
4 PRECOMPILE
Lets you convert embedded SQL statements into statements that your host language can process. For more information, see Precompile panel.
5 BIND/REBIND/FREE
Lets you bind, rebind, or free a package or application plan. For more information, see Bind/Rebind/Free Selection panel.
6 RUN
Lets you run an application program in a TSO or batch environment. For more information, see DB2I Run panel.
7 DB2 COMMANDS
Lets you issue Db2 commands. For more information, see Issuing commands from TSO terminals.
8 UTILITIES
Lets you call Db2 utility programs. For more information, see Invoking an online utility by using the DB2 Utilities panel in DB2I.
D DB2I DEFAULTS
Lets you set DB2I defaults. See DB2I Defaults Panel 1.

Lets you exit DB2I.
