CLIST panel session output
As output, the CLIST produces several data sets and a data set member.
Specifically, the CLIST panel session produces the following data sets and members:
- prefix.SDSNSAMP
- The existing data set contains a new member, if specified, that contains the resulting parameter values from the session.
- prefix.NEW.SDSNSAMP
- A new data set that contains the edited JCL with the values that you entered on the panels.
- prefix.NEW.SDSNTEMP
- A new data set that contains tailored CLISTs for input to job DSNTIJVC, which is run during installation or migration.
The following data sets are also created if you specify the use of z/OSMF for installation or migration.
(If you run the CLIST to generate artifacts for provisioning Db2 subsystems, only these data sets are generated . For more information, see Creating artifacts for provisioning Db2 by running the installation CLIST).

- prefix.NEW.SDSNMFSA
- A new data set that contains the z/OSMF workflow definitions
- prefix.NEW.SDSNSAM2
- A new data that set contains the JCL templates for z/OSMF

You can use job DSNTIJVC to combine the CLISTs into a common data set.
Db2 performs validity checking of the values that you enter during the panel sessions. If you receive an ISPF error message, press the HELP key for additional information.
The following figure illustrates by examples how the CLIST works during installation.
