-RECOVER BSDS command (Db2)
The -RECOVER BSDS command reestablishes dual bootstrap data sets (BSDS) after one has been disabled by a data set error.
Follow these steps to reestablish
dual BSDS mode:
- Use access method services to rename or delete the failing BSDS, which the Db2 system has deallocated, and define a new BSDS with the same name as the failing BSDS. You can find control statements in job DSNTIJIN.
- Issue the Db2 command RECOVER BSDS to make a copy of the remaining BSDS in the newly allocated data set and to reestablish dual BSDS mode.
