Post-upgrade tasks
After upgrading IBM® Data Server Manager to IBM Db2® Data Management Console, you might require to perform some optional post-upgrade tasks based on your needs.
Verify the upgrade
Start the service of IBM Db2 Data Management Console.
You can verify if the upgrade operation was successful or not, by logging into the IBM Db2 Data Management Console through a web browser with a setup administrator account.
Modify configuration
Modify the configuration of repository database on a web page with the setup administrator account. For more details, see 'Repository setting'.
You can also re-configure the key stores and trust stores and configuration XML files of Liberty server for TLS/SSL connections and then restart the service.
<DMC_install_directory>/wlp/usr/servers/dsweb/jvm.options
where <DMC_install_directory>
is the path of the install directory of IBM
Db2 Data Management Console and then restart the service.
Enable database monitoring in IBM Db2 Data Management Console
To avoid double monitoring issues, the database monitoring function of IBM Db2 Data Management Console is turned off by default after the upgrade.
To enable monitoring for a database in IBM Db2 Data Management Console, you must first turn off the monitoring of this database in IBM Data Server Manager.
Roll back to IBM Data Server Manager
- Stop the service of IBM Db2 Data Management Console.
- Restore the repository database based on your backup.
- Restart the service of IBM Data Server Manager.
