Configuring access to Microsoft SQL Server data sources

To configure the federated server to access Microsoft SQL Server data sources, you must provide the federated server with information about the data sources and objects that you want to access.

Procedure

  1. Set the environment variables for the Microsoft SQL Server wrapper.
  2. Register the wrapper.
  3. Register the server definition.
  4. Create the user mappings.
  5. Test the connection to the Microsoft SQL Server remote server.
  6. Register nicknames for Microsoft SQL Server tables and views.
