Using logical workers to improve performance
The number of logical Db2® Big SQL workers that are configured for each compute node can affect the performance of INSERT and SELECT statements.
By default, the ratio of logical Db2 Big SQL workers to compute nodes is 1:1. Increasing the number of logical Db2 Big SQL workers per compute node offers a way to increase inter-partition parallelism; however, the optimal ratio depends on your cluster specifications. For recommendations on setting this ratio to optimize performance, see Logical Db2 Big SQL Workers Boost Db2 Big SQL Performance.
For information on how to set up logical workers, see Configuring logical Db2 Big SQL workers.
