Uninstalling Db2 Big SQL does not completely uninstall components

If you plan to re-install Db2 Big SQL, make sure that you clean the remnants of previous instances the service.

Symptoms

If you do not ensure that you have a clean system before you re-install, the installation might fail.

Resolving the problem

Run these commands on all nodes of your cluster where the Db2 Big SQL worker node or the Big SQL head node was installed.

1. yum check-update -y
2. yum clean expire-cache -y
3. yum clean metadata –y
