Automatic Db2 Big SQL transaction log pruning for a high availability-enabled cluster

You can enable or disable automatic Db2® Big SQL transaction log pruning for a high availability-enabled cluster. Pruning deletes internal database transaction logs that are no longer needed. By default, this option is enabled.

Procedure

  1. To enable or disable automatic log pruning, specify the -enableLogPruning option or the -disableLogPruning option in the Db2 Big SQL administration utility.
    For more information, see Db2 Big SQL cluster administration utility.
  2. Restart the Db2 Big SQL service so that the changed setting can take effect.

Results

When automatic log pruning is enabled, transaction log files are pruned daily at midnight.
