Network specific features and requirements for Aptos wallets.

Aptos is a Layer 1 blockchain that uses the Move programming language and a resource based account model. This page explains Aptos specific behavior when using IBM Digital Asset Haven wallets.
Wallet activation
Aptos wallets are automatically activated when they receive assets for the first time. The Aptos network charges a small fee to create the account on chain, and this fee is deducted from the first incoming transfer. You do not need to manually activate an Aptos wallet. The first transfer to the wallet address creates the account on chain.
Transfers
Use the Transfer Asset endpoint for Aptos transfers.
  • Native APT: Use kind: Native with the amount specified in octas. One APT equals 100,000,000 octas.
  • Fungible assets: Use the appropriate kind and provide the asset type address for the asset you are transferring.
