Recovering Data Volume

Restore the back up of the data volume on the target LPAR.

Before you begin

Before starting the backup and recovery process, ensure the following:
  • Create a new storage pool or use an existing one.
  • Ensure that the primary and target LPARs use the same Master Key.
  • The following Terraform variables are identical on the target LPAR:
    • SECRET
    • MKVP
  • The signed client certificate, CA certificate, and private key are the same on both LPARs.
  • Ensure the Target LPAR IP is allowlisted.
  • The CCRT HSM Signer instance on the primary LPAR is in a shutdown state before bringing the CCRT HSM Signer online on the target LPAR.
