Metadata storage

By default, the B2B Gateway use metadata storage to persist transaction metadata on the unencrypted partition on the RAID volume.

The B2B persistence configuration can be accessed by administrators in the default domain. The default size for metadata storage is 1 GB to allow other uses of the RAID volume. For a virtual DataPower® Gateway with B2B storage enabled, the size of metadata storage must not exceed half of the entire RAID volume. For other DataPower Gateway models, the size can be safely increased to 64 GB.

Note: After increasing this value, it cannot be decreased. Before increasing the size for metadata storage, consider whether you will need to use this partition of the RAID volume for anything else. The unencrypted partition on the RAID volume can be shared with configuration and log files.

The initial firmware setup does not use the RAID volume for anything besides metadata and document storage for B2B transactions.
