Managing the local date and time

How to set the local date and time for the DataPower® Gateway.

About this task

The DataPower Gateway uses its defined local time zone and either the current time that is obtained by the DataPower SNTP service or the explicitly defined local date and time.
  • On physical DataPower appliances and on DataPower Gateway for VMware, you can define the local time zone and indicate how to obtain the current time.
  • On DataPower Gateway for Docker and on DataPower Gateway for Linux®, you can define only the local time zone. On these products, Use the time management facilities of the host.

Procedure

  1. Define the local time zone.
  2. Identify how to obtain current time.
    • Define the NTP service.
    • Explicitly define local date and time.
