Defining the basic configuration

How to define the basic configuration.

Procedure

Define the general configuration.

  1. Define the basic properties - Name, administrative state, and comments.
  2. In the Document storage location field, set the URL to save copies of inbound documents, outbound documents, and intermediate documents for retransmission.
This location can be an NFS mount. If not specified, the storage location is the encrypted partition of the DataPower® RAID array and has approximately half the original disk space for document storage. If the storage location is the unencrypted partition of the RAID array, the space is shared with other data that includes local files and log messages.
Note: If you use an NFS mount to store documents, the connection can be unstable under the following conditions.
    • The network performance with the NFS server is poor.
    • The NFS server itself is not stable.
  3. From the XML manager list, select the XML manager to associate.
The configuration of the XML manager references a user agent. This user agent defines how the B2B gateway connects to remote servers.

Associate protocol handlers to define document routing. Complete the following steps for each protocol handler

  1. Locate the Document routing area.
  2. Add a protocol handler.

Associate partner profiles. The configuration requires at least one external partner and at least one internal partner.

  1. Locate the Attach partner profiles area.
  2. Configure the partner profiles by using either of the following methods.
Add active partner profiles in the Active partner profiles area
    1. From the B2B partner profile list, select a partner profile.
    2. Click Add.
    3. From the Profile enabled list, select whether to enable the partner profile for the gateway.

This setting applies to only the B2B gateway. This setting does not modify the administrative state of the B2B partner profile.

    4. From the Profile destination list, select the name of an existing destination. Select (default) to indicate that the gateway uses the first destination of the partner profile.
    5. Repeat the previous steps to add another active partner profile.
Add active profile groups in the Active profile groups area
    1. From the B2B profile group list, select a profile group.
    2. Click Add.
    3. From the Profile enabled list, select whether to enable the profile group for the gateway.

This setting applies to only the B2B gateway. This setting does not modify the administrative state in the B2B partner profile group.

    4. Repeat the previous steps to add another active profile group.
