Managing configuration checkpoints
To manage configuration checkpoints, an administrator can modify the number of configuration checkpoints for each application domain. By default, each domain supports three saved configuration checkpoints.
About this task
Configuration checkpoints contain configuration data from a specific point in time. A configuration checkpoint might be equivalent to the startup configuration, equivalent to the running configuration, or different. Configuration checkpoints are not saved to the startup configuration.
When saved, a ZIP formatted file is written to the chkpoints: directory for that application domain. During an upgrade, the operation deletes the contents of this directory.
Procedure
- In the search field, enter domain.
- From the search results, click Application Domain.
- Click the domain to modify.
- Click the Configuration tab.
- In the Configuration Checkpoint Limit field, enter the number of checkpoint configurations to allow.
- Click Apply to save changes to the running configuration.
- Click Save to save changes to the persisted configuration.
