Configuring Design Studio

How to configure IBM Sterling® Transformation Extender Design Studio to communicate with the DataPower® Interoperability Test Service.

About this task

When you configure Design Studio, ensure that you specify the following information.
  • The IP address or hostname of the DataPower Ethernet interface
  • The DataPower listening port of the Interoperability Test Service
To test maps that you developed in Design Studio, you must configure Design Studio to enable the following functions.
  • Map Audit function
  • Support for warnings

The Map Audit function and support of Transformation Extender warnings are not enabled by default.

You can locate the audit log in the Audit Log view in the Design Studio after the map is processed if you enabled the Map Audit function. Without support for warnings, the Warn value of Warnings > Return map setting is overridden to Fail at run time.

Procedure

  1. In the Design Studio, click Window > Preferences.
  2. Expand Transformation Extender > Map > DataPower.
  3. Enter the host and port of the DataPower Gateway where the Interoperability Test Service is enabled.
  4. In the ITX Audit Log field, enter a context name to save the audit log.
  5. Enable the Support ITX Warnings option.
