use-local-mode

This command indicates whether to use the policy database that is cached locally instead of accessed remotely.

Syntax

use-local-mode { on | off }

Parameters

on: Uses the local policy database.
off: Access the remote policy server. This setting is the default value.

Guidelines

The use-local-mode command indicates whether to create a local copy of the policy database. Set this property to cache the policy database locally instead of accessing the remote policy server. This property must match the behavior that is defined in the Access Manager client configuration files.

With a local policy database, use the following commands to define the update behavior from the remote policy server.

listen-mode
listen-port
