Guidelines

The ad-use-ad command indicates whether the Access Manager client uses Microsoft Active Directory or LDAP as the registry. The default registry is LDAP.

The type of registry for the deployment is determined by the configuration of the Access Manager server. The registry that you define in this configuration is for a client and must match the registry of the server. Active Directory is not supported starting with Access Manager version 8.0.1.

When you use Active Directory as the registry, use the reg_file command to specify the name and location of the Active Directory configuration file.

This command is required when the tam-version command is set to one of the following values.
  • v61 (deprecated)
  • v611 (deprecated)
  • v70
